| Art Club
This is a student-run and teacher-sponsored organization. During the year the students try to attend every exhibit at the Price Tower Art Center. A wide variety of media are covered, ranging from architecture to traditional art. Art Club is actively involved in the community, participating in projects such as building items for the Price Tower Art Center and painting murals at BHS. Anyone who shares a love and appreciation of the arts is welcome to join. Currently there are no dues required to participate in the Art Club's activities. |

| Band
Band allows qualified music students to develop their talents through performance on brass, wind, and percussion instruments, stressing life skills such as leadership skills, time management, and team-building. Participants develop music skills such as tone production, musical style, phrasing, articulation, balance, intonation, and musical discrimination through ensemble and solo performance, and the program offers concerts, ensemble and solo performance opportunities, full orchestra experiences, and marching band performances. |

| Business Professionals of America
(BPA) The purpose of Business Professionals of America is to prepare students for the business workforce through advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills. BPA builds leadership, professionalism, poise, dependability, and patriotism, and competency into business students. We welcome all students who have enrolled or are in enrolled in business classes at the Mid High and High School. BPA is a national, state, and local organization and there are club dues. Regular meetings will be once a month and there will be additional meetings for conference/contest trips. In the fall our officers will travel to Oklahoma City for the leadership conference and early in the second semester we’ll begin preparation for the state competition. Students placing first at state have the opportunity to attend the national competition in May. |

| Competitive Debate
Qualified participants learn debate, oratory, extemporaneous speaking, and student congress, with regular tournaments on Friday afternoons and all day on Saturdays. |

Qualified participants are introduced to the elements of acting, such as character, stage presence, script-analysis, and performance critique, with an opportunity to audition for all play productions. |

| German Club
This group is primarily about responsible students managing a classroom-based international candy sales business and using its profits to fund an exciting amusement park field trip just after the end of each school year. Inventory, sales, and accounting are the main dimensions of the club. Other activities include T-shirt creation, Homecoming Block Party, food-festivals, soccer, elections, etc. Membership is open to all students. |

| National Honor Society (NHS)
More than just an honor roll, NHS honors those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character, with all participants providing community service. |

| Orchestra
Qualified stringed-instrument students who play violin, viola, cello, bass, or harp are offered the means to attain excellence through group performance. A variety of styles of music is studied and performed, with emphasis on traditional "class" music. Participation in outside-of-class rehearsals is required, as is participation in evening performances. Students also have the opportunity to participate in solo and ensemble contests and performances through this class. The orchestra usually takes an out-of-state trip to a music festival. Students have opportunities to earn their money for the trip through booster-club-sponsored fund-raisers. |

| Spanish Club
We are a service and social organization; any high school student is welcome to join. The Spanish Club promotes the awareness of the hispanic culture and language among high school students. Typical activities include participation in Homecoming activities, a Day of the Dead party, a typical Mexican Christmas celebration given to local children, participation in the International Dinner, and a recognition of Cinco de Mayo. Service projects reflect the needs of the community and the interests of the club members. Members and officers are required to attend most of the functions of the club to maintain their membership and office. In order to join, students pay a small membership fee. |

| Student Council (STUCO)
This group is made up of 24 elected members (12 juniors and 12 seniors) and honorary members that represent the student body. Its major responsibilities include assemblies, homecoming activities, prom, and graduation. They also strive to meet the needs of the student body by holding meetings every Friday during lunch to discuss school issues. Honorary membership is open to any interested student. |

| Vocal Music
Qualified students in the Mixed Chorus and Select Choir courses learn the fundamentals of good singing as well as experiencing related aesthetic values and multi-cultural education. Opportunities for public performance are a part of the program. |
