The third phase of the Building on Excellence project was another field house, just east of the new Fine Arts Center. The original 1939 field house remains in use.

The new facility consumed about $5.5 million, or roughly 21%, of the bond construction budget for BHS. The construction contract was awarded to Rick Scott Construction, Inc. of Ponca City and Tulsa. Britt Embry of SPARKS of Tulsa was the lead architect.

The Bruins basketball games had long outgrown the original 1939 field house, needing more seating as well as better locker rooms. The groundbreaking was on October 12, 2004 and the facility was dedicated on December 3, 2006. The new field house shares a two-story lobby with the new fine arts center. Access to the fixed seating for over 2200 patrons is on the upper level, where there are two concession stands.

The court is on the lower level, surrounded by areas for the athletic trainers and various locker rooms and offices. Adjacent to the court is a hospitality room that is also equipped for district in-service training and conferences. Also, parking was added to the east and north of the new field house.
