2007 Bond & Other Work
In 2007 the district passed another large bond issue. It included funding to address the aging locker rooms in Custer Stadium, build a new indoor athletics practice facility, replace the remainder of the old HVAC systems in the core of the main building, replace windows on the east side of the school, and replace the student lockers. It also included funding for improved classroom technology such as LCD projectors. All of that work should be completed in 2011.
2008
In the summer of 2008 a $650,000 donation from the Lyon Foundation provided for the installation of Momentum 41 Artificial Turf on the football field, which was renamed Ted Lyon Field at Custer Stadium.
LCD projectors and sound systems were installed in many classrooms in the summer of 2008. All classrooms were so equipped by 2010-2011.
The classrooms in the main building and annex and some classrooms in the stadium were repainted in the summer of 2008. The color scheme dating back to 1995 of three light blue walls and a darker blue window wall was changed to three beige walls and an accent wall that varies in color. The accent wall is green on the first floor, blue on the second floor, and light purple in parts of the stadium.
The alleyway was torn up in 2007-2008 after the installation of water pipes from the new central plant to the older buildings. In the summer of 2008 it was repaved in concrete.
2009
2009 saw the campus expand again as the Board of Education purchased the property at 1800 Hillcrest Drive on the southwest edge of the campus. Eventually the buildings on that site may be demolished and the area used for expanded parking.

The new Bruin Activity Center, built on the former site of the Crestview Apartments, provided 15,625 square feet of turf surface for use in inclement weather along with netting for batting practice.
Addition athletics improvements included new locker rooms on the east side of the 2005 Bruin Field House, sealing the seating deck of Custer Stadium to reduce leaks, and renovations of the large public event restrooms in Custer Stadium.
New student lockers were installed in the main building, annex, and stadium. Additional LCD ceiling projectors and sound systems were installed in various classrooms. The center section of the main building (office area) and portions of the stadium were repainted over the summer, the leaking middle floor windows of the stadium were sealed, and the stadium restrooms were renovated. Building security was tightened with locked exterior doors and the main entrance off Hillcrest was equipped with a video camera, intercom, and electronic door latch operated from the main office.
2010
Custer Stadium had 220 new reserved seats added along with a handicapped seating area near the field for 10 wheelchairs with benches for 10 companions.
